Soap vapour separator for bar soap drying plants

The vapour separator is a machine which is part of the soap vacuum drying plant or the saponification plant to cool the soap at the reactor outlet. The main function of the equipment is to divide and eliminate the vapours produced inside the heat exchanger or reactor.

This operation provides two advantages. On the one hand, it reduces the load on the vacuum system; on the other hand, it produces a significant amount of clean steam that can be used for other purposes, which increases the overall efficiency of the system thanks to significant energy savings.

Soaptec designs and manufactures state-of-the-art vapour separators capable of recovering all the vapour produced during previous processing steps. For this reason, our products are chosen by all those companies investing in making their plants more sustainable.

Furthermore, depending on the customer’s choice, our vapour separators can be installed in new plants built in-house by our team of engineers and technicians, or mounted on pre-existing plants.

In the latter case, we suggest that you also purchase a positive displacement pump and compatible control panel.

Soaptec recommends that those using this machine should always pay close attention to the internal pressure and the internal level of soap.

The vapour separator has a modulating valve for pressure regulation and a positive displacement pump mounted directly underneath the equipment for level control.

Characteristics and technical specifications

Soaptec’s vapor separators for soap vacuum drying plants are designed and manufactured to ASME Sec. VIII, Div. 1 standards. At the request of the customer, our partner inspectors can certify equipment to ASME or other standards.
Our vapour separators are completely made of AISI 316 stainless steel, which guarantees sturdiness and durability.
Generally, the connection flanges for the soap inlet and outlet and for the heating steam inlet and outlet comply with UNI standards, but it is possible to request the installation of flanges designed in compliance with the ANSI standard.
Endress + Hauser instrumentation and Spirax Sarco valves or equivalent quality products complete the equipment.
