Mixers for bar soap finishing line

Once the soap pellets reach the finishing line, the first processing that is carried out is the addition of solid or liquid additives, such as colours, essential oils, perfumes, or other substances that modify their appearance and washing characteristics. This task is carried out by the mixers, industrial machines provided with mechanical blades that allow the additives to homogeneously join the semi-finished soap.
Soaptec designs and produces two series of mixers: the AM, which includes open-bladed amalgamators, and the DASM, models with a double sigma blade.

Series AM amalgamators —

Soaptec amalgamators are two-bladed open mixers. The blades are controlled by an orthogonal axis gearbox. The capacity of the gearboxes is tested according to UNI, DIN, AFNOR, AGMA, and ISO standards.

All the components of the machine, from the tank to the blades, as well as the movement of the latter, have been designed to promote macro-mixing of soap and additives, and are made of AISI 304 stainless steel.

Amalgamation time can be set by means of a timer installed on the control panel connected to the machine. Through the same panel it is also possible to choose the type of mixing cycle, which can be manual or automatic.

Once the mixing process has been completed, the product is discharged through a pneumatic piston system into the hopper of a three-roll roll mill, or into a plodder, or into an elevator conveyor installed underneath the mixer. The pneumatic discharge system is located at the bottom of the tank. The gate opening is controlled by a pneumatic circuit with an electro valve and a pneumatic piston.

For models with load capacities of 50 and 100 kg, Soaptec has designed the AM-50T and AM-100T machines, which allow the rotation of the tank by means of a gearmotor for soap discharge. These machines are also ideal for all those productions that involve the addition of large quantities of liquid additives.

The cover of the AM series can be produced according to the specifications requested by the customer and is equipped with devices that allow the operator to work in total safety.

DASM amalgamators —

Soaptec’s double sigma or DASM arms mixers are the perfect choice to achieve soap micro-mixing. Using this type of machine, the soap pellets are finely processed, resulting in more effective mixing of product and additives. DASM mixers are particularly suitable for the production of high-quality toilet soap.

Our company offers three different models of DASM amalgamators

  • Mixer provided with discharge via a tilting tank, which enables the crushing of soap pellets. It is recommended for those who use large quantities of liquid additives. In this mixer the tank is mounted on two bronze bushings fixed to the support.

  • Mixer equipped with a pneumatic piston discharge from the bottom that allows the soap pellets to be crushed and thus ensure intensive mixing. The gate opening is controlled by a pneumatic circuit with an electro valve and a piston.

  • Mixer provided with worm discharge with independent gear motor, ideal for feeding roll mills as it gives the chance to control the soap outflow. Rotation is controlled by a gear motor with parallel axes. The worm has a profile designed to achieve rapid tank emptying.

Characteristics of double arm sigma mixers

In all DASM mixers the movement of the arms is controlled by two independent gear motors with parallel axes. The load capacity of the gearboxes is verified according to UNI, DIN, AFNOR, AGMA, and ISO standards.
The electrical control panel is separated from the machine and contains the PLC and touch screen for processing management.
The mixing arms are made of AISI 316 stainless steel, then polished and shaped. The arms rotate in opposite directions.
The double tank is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel. On request it is supplied with a jacket to cool or heat the soap to be mixed.
The cover of the DASM Series mixers is custom-made, according to the specifications provided by the customer.
In order to guarantee maximum safety for the operators, the machine is equipped with state-of-the-art devices and accessories that allow total control. In addition, all the components used are manufactured by leading companies in the field of mechanical parts production.
